PROVIX Crane Camera Systems: Improved Visibility for Safer Lifting Operations

Crane operators often work with limited visibility around the boom, lifting hook and surrounding work area. PROVIX crane camera systems help address these blind spots by giving operators a clearer, real-time view of critical areas during lifting operations.

Designed for mobile cranes, crawler cranes and tower cranes, PROVIX offers camera configurations ranging from wireless boom cameras to complete AI-powered 360-degree monitoring systems.

PROVIX AI 360-Degree Crane Camera System

The PROVIX Crane-Integrated 360-Degree Panoramic Imaging System provides comprehensive monitoring around the crane and adds supplementary coverage for blind spots near the lifting hook.

The system combines multiple HD waterproof cameras with AI pedestrian and vehicle detection. The surrounding camera views are processed through an AI 3D 360-degree control box and displayed on a large 10.1-inch waterproof monitor.

Available system features include:

  • AI pedestrian and vehicle detection
  • Full-range AI detection
  • Multiple HD waterproof cameras
  • Waterproof AI control box
  • Approximately one-minute automatic calibration
  • 10.1-inch IP66 waterproof monitor
  • Interior visual and audible warning indicator
  • Optional driver-monitoring and alert system
  • Monitoring for more than 10 types of abnormal driver behavior
  • Additional surveillance around the crane and lifting area

By improving the operator's awareness of workers, vehicles and equipment around the crane, the PROVIX 360-degree system can help reduce blind-spot risks, prevent collisions and support more controlled lifting operations.

PROVIX Wireless 30x Zoom Boom Camera

For applications that require a direct view of the hook and load, PROVIX offers a 1080p wireless boom-camera system with powerful zoom capability.

The AI anti-vibration camera can be mounted near the end of the boom, giving the operator a better view of the load, rigging and surrounding work area. Its 30x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom allow the operator to inspect important details without relying entirely on ground signals or distant sightlines.

The camera also incorporates AI-based pedestrian and vehicle detection to provide an additional level of awareness around the lifting zone.

Key features include:

  • 1080p high-definition video
  • 30x optical zoom
  • 5x digital zoom
  • AI pedestrian and vehicle detection
  • Anti-vibration camera design
  • Wireless camera transmission
  • Magnetic mounting base
  • Rechargeable battery with up to 25,000 mAh capacity
  • Low-power operation
  • Foot-pedal or joystick camera controls

10.1-Inch Wireless Quad-View Monitor

The PROVIX four-camera monitor provides operators with a clear 10.1-inch display inside the crane cab. It supports multiple viewing modes, allowing the operator to select the camera arrangement that best suits the job.

Its automatic pairing function simplifies camera connection, while the built-in video-recording capability can provide useful footage for operational review, incident investigation and safety training.

The wireless monitor system is listed as IC Canada and FCC certified.

Camera Options for Different Types of Cranes

PROVIX camera systems can be configured for different lifting equipment and operating environments.

For crawler and mobile cranes, the boom-mounted camera provides an elevated view of the hook, load and work area. The image is transmitted wirelessly to the in-cab monitor, where the operator can select and control the desired view.

For tower cranes, the camera can be installed near the trolley or lifting point to maintain visibility as the hook travels across the worksite. This gives the operator a much clearer view of loading and landing areas that may otherwise be obstructed or located far below the cab.

Available configurations may include:

  • A wireless boom-mounted zoom camera
  • A rechargeable magnetic-mount power supply
  • A 10.1-inch in-cab wireless monitor
  • Foot-switch or joystick camera controls
  • Multiple-camera and quad-view capability
  • AI pedestrian and vehicle detection
  • Video-recording capability
  • A complete AI 360-degree monitoring system

Better Visibility Where Crane Operators Need It Most

PROVIX crane camera systems are designed to improve visibility during lifting, positioning and material-handling operations. Whether the application calls for a single wireless boom camera or a complete AI-powered panoramic system, PROVIX provides flexible options for monitoring the hook, load and surrounding work area.

Clearer visibility can help operators work with greater confidence, improve communication with ground crews and make more informed decisions throughout the lifting process.

For crane fleets, contractors and industrial operations, PROVIX camera technology provides a practical way to improve blind-spot awareness and support safer, more efficient crane operation.
